Janis R. Collins LIVINGSTON--Funeral services for Janis R. Collins will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Pace Funeral Home with the Pastor Randy Wagstaff officiating.
Mrs. Collins was born on March14, 1936 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Earnest and Josephine Williams. She died peacefully on February 13,2026 In 1967 Janis co-founded a manufacturing company with international sales to over 60 countries.
In 1972 the company was moved from Baytown to Livingston TX where she resided with her husband and two sons, Wayne and David Collins. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Her precious son, Wayne, and her husband Henry passed in 2012 and 2017.
Janis and Henry Collins were married 63 years. Janis is survived by David Collins of Kingwood. Janis was a devout Christian, avid reader, devoted wife and mother. Also an accomplished oil painter and author. But her greatest and most challenging accomplishment was the absolute care of her oldest son, Wayne, who was born severely mentally handicapped.
Wayne was not supposed to live past two years old, but Janis and Henry devoted their lives to his care and extended his life to another 50 years. All of it was done in their home with Wayne never being in any sort of institution. Janis was known as a wonderful mother, wife, and sister, as well as a friend to many. Those close to her know her loving and generous spirit and sense of humor.

"Janis was my backyard neighbor for a number of years. Her love of the Lord was evident in many ways. We were able to work together on a couple of projects regarding both our properties. I shall miss such a neighbor and shall certainly continue to pray for her family and friends."
